Gridiron Stats is a web application for tracking American Football player statistics, operated by Ninefootone Creative Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

What data we collect and why

Account holders (coaches and team members)

When you create an account or join a team, we collect your name and email address via Clerk authentication, and your profile photo if provided via your Google account. This is necessary to provide you with access to the app and identify you within your team.

Players

When a team admin adds a player to the roster, we store their name, jersey number, position(s), and active/inactive status. We deliberately collect the minimum information needed to support stat tracking. We do not collect addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information about players.

Game statistics

We store stats linked to player names for the purpose of tracking performance across a season. This data is only accessible to members of the relevant team.

Usage data

We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used. This requires cookies and your consent — see the Cookies section below.

Children’s data

Gridiron Stats is intended for use by coaches to track players, who may include individuals under the age of 16. We collect only a player’s name and jersey number. Team admins (coaches) are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent from parents or guardians before adding players to the system.

Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

  • Clerk – User authentication (USA, GDPR compliant)
  • Railway – Database and backend hosting (USA, GDPR compliant)
  • Vercel – Frontend hosting (USA, GDPR compliant)
  • Google Analytics – Usage analytics (USA, GDPR compliant)
  • Brevo – Feedback emails (EU, GDPR compliant)

We do not sell your data or share it with any third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Player and game data is retained for as long as the team exists in the app. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (right to erasure)
  • Restrict how we process your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Portability – receive your data in a portable format

Season stats at a glance

The leaderboard tracks every player’s season totals across all competitive games automatically. Export a full stats spreadsheet at any time with one tap.

Log stats in seconds

Two ways to log a play — tap a player from your roster or choose the stat first. Either way it takes seconds. Attach a play from your playbook, add a quick note, and move on. The feed updates live so your whole coaching team is always in sync.

Stat logging currently requires an internet connection to work.

Schedule, score, repeat

Plan your season in advance and track every game as it happens. Log the score, set the game type — regular, friendly, playoff, finals — and let Gridiron handle the rest. Friendly games are automatically excluded from the season leaderboard so your stats always tell the real story.

Players

A roster built for game day

Add your squad manually or import in seconds via CSV. Set jersey numbers, positions, and keep your active roster clean by marking injured or unavailable players as inactive. Only the players you need show up on game day.

Teams

Your team, your way

Create your team and invite your coaching staff with a simple join code. Share a view-only code with parents and supporters so they can follow along without getting in the way. Everyone sees what they need to see — nothing more.
